It all started with a bottle of Zinfandel and a quest to try as many wines in Washington as possible. Now there are over one thousand wineries and the list is not yet complete. Jodi wanted to know more about wine so she enrolled in a night school wine program while working full time as a software engineering recruiter.

Then she started a three year trek as a volunteer, driving five hours each way to work in the vineyard every other weekend, just to learn. Her curiosity continued to grow, encompassing other aspects of the wine business, including opening a tasting room, working in a cellar, and selling bulk wine and pressed juice. WA Bulk Wine was born out of a desire to build relationships that work alongside creative winemakers.

We’ve made some deep relationships with clients and winemakers. Although we move tankers, sometimes winemakers will make a tote or two just for us to sell, giving them enough money in their pocket to pay for the bottling. It’s a great compliment to help them out and to have their trust!

We pack up and travel the country for three consecutive months a year. We bring Washington AVA maps, talk about growing areas, styles of wine and what it’s like to live in our wine region. We feel like we are the biggest ambassadors for the Washington wine industry. We are always proud to share information about our flourishing industry.

We like to collect pictures, postcards, business cards, menus, napkins, and matchbooks from hotels, restaurants, resorts, gas stations, tourist attractions, etc. and make refrigerator magnets for our travel board. It’s our own special collection that tells our travel story.
